A PSID (Page-Scoped ID) is a unique identifier that Facebook generates for each user in your Contacts to manage interactions across various communication channels.
Businesses often use multiple channels—like websites, mobile apps, and Messenger—to communicate with their customers. When someone:
- Logs into a website or app using Facebook Login, Facebook assigns them an App-Scoped ID specific to that app.
- Interacts with your business via Messenger, Facebook assigns them a Page-Scoped ID (PSID) linked to the Facebook Page used in Messenger.
This means a single person will have different IDs for different communication channels.
⚠️ Important:
- You’ll need a Manychat Pro subscription to export PSIDs.
- The downloaded file will contain only PSIDs, with no additional contact details.
- PSIDs are only available for contacts who have interacted with your business on Facebook Messenger.
- The Manychat Contact ID is not the same as the Facebook PSID.
You can download the PSIDs of all your contacts as a .csv file by navigating to the Contacts tab > Bulk actions > Export PSIDs:
The exported PSID list can be uploaded into tools like Facebook Ads Manager to create custom audiences. Ads Manager will recognize the PSIDs and allow you to target your contacts effectively during campaign setup.
