This article will help you understand how to sign up for your first Manychat channel, add additional sign-in options for other channels, and add other team members. The article will also cover how profiles and accounts operate and are connected to each other.
Signing up
There are 6 channels where you can build Manychat automations: Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, Email, and SMS.
There are three sign-up options available, depending on the first channel you want to connect:
- Personal Facebook account: for Messenger, Instagram, or WhatsApp channels
- Google: available only for Instagram
- Telegram: available only for Telegram
After creating a Manychat account and upgrading it to Pro, you can also connect Email and SMS channels.
Connecting additional sign-in options
After signing up and creating a Manychat account, you can connect additional sign-in options. The available sign-in options are Facebook, Google, Apple ID, and Telegram.
These options allow you to sign in through multiple platforms, and we recommend adding them to your profile for enhanced security and consistent account access.

You can access your profile through any connected sign-in options.
⚠️ Important: Once a sign-in option (e.g., Facebook, Google, Apple ID, or Telegram) is linked to your Manychat profile, it cannot be changed or unlinked. This ensures that your profile remains secure.
For example, if you have already connected a specific type of sign-in option, such as a Google profile, you cannot replace it with another Google profile.
⚠️ Important: Manychat profiles cannot be merged. You should link additional sign-in options as described above to keep them associated with a single profile.
After completing the registration, your profile will include:
- Sign-in option(s): Facebook, Google, Apple ID, or Telegram
- Associated account(s)
⚠️ Important: Manychat does not support email and password sign-in.
Verified email address
The verified email displayed here is used solely for notifications:
If you're trying to change your verified email address but haven't received the verification email, follow the troubleshooting steps outlined here.
Error: “Email is already in use by another user”
If you encounter the error “Email is already in use by another user” while verifying your email address, this indicates that you previously created a Manychat profile and verified the same email address.
To resolve this, there are three options:
- Use a different email address that hasn’t been verified with another Manychat account.
- Try signing in to your previously created Manychat account. We recommend attempting to sign in with your Facebook account, as it is the most common sign-in option. Once logged in, you can either continue using your old Manychat profile or change the verified email address to another one, allowing you to use the original email for a new Manychat profile.
- If you are unable to access your previously created Manychat profile, please submit a ticket to the Support Team, and we’ll assist you further.
Adding team members to your Manychat account
If you have a Pro account, you can add team members to your Manychat account. The easiest way to do this is by using an invitation link.
Team members joining an existing Manychat account are not required to use a personal Facebook account. Subsequent team members can use any of the following options to create their profiles: personal Facebook profile, Google, Apple ID, or Telegram.
⚠️ Please note that free accounts have a limit of one team member per account. Exceeding this limit will prevent account owners from sending messages through configured automations, Live Chat, and Broadcasts. You may remove a team member to stay within the limits of the free plan.
Account management
You can connect multiple channels (Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger) to a single Manychat account. However, only one business account can be linked to each channel at a time within the same Manychat account. For example, you can connect only one Instagram account to a Manychat account at a time. You can add a WhatsApp account to the same Manychat account later.
If you need to manage multiple business accounts of the same type (for example, 2 different Instagram channels), you will need to create a separate Manychat account for each. Please note that each account will have its own settings and billing.
