In this article, you will learn how to connect your existing ActiveCampaign account to Manychat. ActiveCampaign is a platform for small- to mid-sized businesses that offer email marketing, marketing automation, sales automation, and CRM functionality.
Our native integration with this platform allows you to create a contact in an ActiveCampaighn contacts List.
⚠️ Note: ActiveCampaign can only be integrated with Manychat if you have a paid subscription. Integrating a Trial ActiveCampaign account with Manychat will result in an error message.
Setting up ActiveCampaign integration
Head to Settings > Integrations and scroll to the Connect ActiveCampaign Account section. Enter the API URL and API Key from your ActiveCompaingn account in the corresponding fields:
💡 You can find both the API URL and API Key in your ActiveCampaign account by heading to Settings > Developer.
Once you've copied and pasted them, click the Connect ActiveCampaign Account button, and you're all set:
Add Contact action
Use this action in your automation to add a Manychat contact to the contacts list in your ActiveCampaign account.
Create an action step and select the Add Contact ActiveCampaign action:
Specify the Email field containing the contact’s email.
💡 You can use the Email system field or any text Custom User Fields where you store contact Emails.
Select the ActiveCampaign contacts list where you’d like to save the contact.
Save the changes to finish the setup.
That's it - feel free to test your automation! Once the contact reaches the action in the automation, the information will be recorded and displayed in the Contacts tab of your ActiveCampaign account:
Integration troubleshooting
If you are experiencing any issues with ActiveCampaign integration, please ensure your Email field is set up correctly. If you are confident that everything is set up as intended, try reconnecting the integration and refreshing permissions in Manychat.
