Connecting your Telegram bot to Manychat allows you to automate conversations, streamline interactions, and create engaging experiences for your audience. This straightforward guide will walk you through the steps to set up and integrate your Telegram bot with Manychat, even if it’s your first time.
Connect Telegram bot to Manychat
Start by navigating to Settings > Telegram and clicking on Connect:
Select Create New Bot or Connect Existing Bot:
Creating a new bot
If you choose Create New Bot, you’ll be redirected to a page with a simple step-by-step guide. Just follow the instructions to create your bot:
Click on @BotFather—this is a bot that helps you generate the token needed to connect your bot to Manychat and set it live. At this step, you’ll be redirected to the Telegram app, so please ensure it is installed on your device.
Open a chat with @BotFather and click the /start command:
From the list of commands that appear, select /newbot.
You’ll be prompted to create a bot name and a username.
The username will appear in your bot’s information. The bot name serves as the bot's handle and must end with "_bot."
Since the bot name must be unique, some names may already be taken by other users. If that happens, @BotFather will notify you and suggest trying a different bot name.
In the final step, your bot will be created, and a bot token will be generated.
Copy the token, paste it into Manychat, and click Connect.
Your bot is now successfully connected to Manychat. You're all set to go!
