How to remove a Facebook page from Manychat

Removing a Facebook page from Manychat is a straightforward process, but it's important to ensure it's done correctly to avoid any disruptions to your workflows. 

There are two common scenarios when you might want to remove a page from Manychat:

• You want to replace the current Facebook page in your Manychat account with a different one
• You no longer have access to the Facebook page, but it still appears in your Manychat account

You want to replace the current Facebook page in your Manychat account with a different one

⚠️ Important: Removing the page will permanently delete all Messenger contacts linked to this account from Manychat.

1. Open Settings and select Messenger from the list of channels.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and find the Remove Facebook Page from Manychat section.
3. Click Remove.
4. In the confirmation pop-up that opens:
   • Check both boxes, confirming that by removing this Facebook Page, you’ll also be removing all the Facebook contacts associated with it.
   • Type Remove in the text field.
5. Click Confirm.

You no longer have access to the Facebook page, but it still appears in your Manychat account

If you no longer have access to the Facebook Page but it still appears in your Manychat workspace, you can fix this by leaving the Manychat account it’s connected to.

1. Open Settings and go to the General tab.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Leave to remove yourself from the account.
3. Once you’ve left, the account will no longer appear in your list of Manychat accounts.

⚠️ Important: If you’re the account owner, you must transfer ownership to another admin before you can leave the account. Until ownership is transferred, the Leave button will remain grayed out.

Disable the Facebook page to temporarily pause the Facebook channel

If you want to temporarily pause your Messenger channel and all related automations, you can disable the Facebook Page instead of removing it. Disabling the channel will not delete your contacts or automations.

To disable the Messenger channel:

1. Open Settings and select Messenger from the list of channels.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and find the Disable Facebook Page.
3. Click Disable.
4. Confirm your decision by clicking Disable in the pop-up that appears.

You can reactivate the Messenger channel at any time by following the same steps and clicking Enable instead.
