Since TikTok’s API is still evolving, some features are currently available, while others are not yet supported. This guide explains what you can do today, what’s limited, and how to plan your campaigns effectively.

What you need to know before getting started

• Connecting TikTok to Manychat requires a Business TikTok account. Creator and personal accounts are not supported. You can learn how to switch your account to Business here. 
• TikTok features a geographic-based rollout. Users located in the EU and UK are currently unable to connect their TikTok accounts to Manychat. Unfortunately, there is no estimated timeline for when this feature will be available in these regions.

Connecting TikTok and Manychat

There are two ways to get started, depending on your current setup:

• If you’re new to Manychat: You can connect TikTok while creating your account.
• If you already have a Manychat account: You can add TikTok as another connected channel.

To connect TikTok as one of the channels:

1. Open your Manychat account.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Select TikTok in the list of channels and click Connect.
4. In the window that opens, click the Open TikTok button.
5. Follow the prompts in the pop-up window to connect your TikTok account. Select the correct account, grant the required permissions, and click Continue once you’ve reviewed the information.
6. Once the setup is complete, you’ll see a confetti screen. This means your TikTok account is successfully connected.

If you have a Creator or Personal TikTok account, or are based in the UK or EU

If you’re using a Creator or Personal TikTok account, or if your account is based in the UK or EU, you currently can’t connect TikTok to Manychat. However, you can join the waitlist to stay informed and receive updates once the TikTok channel becomes available for your account or region.

How to join the waitlist

Follow these steps to make sure you’re notified when the TikTok channel becomes accessible for your account or location.

If you have a Creator or Personal TikTok account:

1. In your Manychat account, go to Settings.
2. Select TikTok, and then click Connect.

3. Select How to switch to a Business Account, then choose I’m not ready to switch.

   

4. Fill in your details in the form and click Confirm.

If you’re located in the UK or EU:

1. In your Manychat account, go to Settings.
2. Select TikTok, and then click Connect.
3. In the window that opens, click Let me know. You’ll receive an email as soon as TikTok becomes available in your region.
