The Automation tab is your central hub for managing all your workflows. It provides an organized space where you can view, edit, and optimize your automations to ensure everything runs smoothly. In this article, we’ll walk you through how to navigate the Automation tab and make the most of its features. Let’s get started!
This is the main page, organized into five tabs:
My Automations tab
Here are the main elements of the Automations tab:
- Create New Automation: Start building a new automation with a single click
- Search by name: Quickly locate an automation by typing its name into the search bar.
- Search by triggers: Sort and filter automations based on their triggers.
- Search by trigger state: Sort and filter automations by their current trigger state (active, disabled, etc.).
- Folders: Use folders to organize and categorize your automations for better management.
You can perform various actions, such as renaming, duplicating or moving your folders, with the folder actions menu.
💡To move a folder into another folder, you have two options:
- Use the Move to option in the folder actions menu.
- Drag and drop: Click and hold the folder with your left mouse button or touchpad, drag it over your target folder, and release the button to drop it.
- Trash folder: Access deleted automations stored in the Trash folder for recovery or permanent removal.
- View as: Switch between grid and list views to visualize your automations more effectively:
- Automation details: View your automations along with key stats and additional information.
- Actions button: Perform various actions, such as editing or duplicating your automations, with the actions menu.
The action menu offers the following actions:
- Rename: Update the name of your automation.
- Duplicate: Create a copy of your automation within the same folder.
- Convert channels: Switch your automation between connected channels. For more details, refer to the Flow Converter.
- Move to: Transfer an automation to a different folder.
- Share: Share your automation as an image or provide a link to an interactive version for preview.
This feature enables you to easily share your automations. You can export them as a PNG file or create an interactive version that others can preview. Additionally, you can allow recipients to save the shared automation directly to their Manychat account.
⚠️Note: Actions and messages from other automations won’t be copied.
As soon as you activate the enable sharing option, you can access this automation with the link and send it to someone. And that's what they'll get:
- Duplicate to another page: Copy the automation to another page you manage.
⚠️ Note: If the automation includes any PRO elements, the receiving page must also be PRO in order to use it.
⚠️ Note: Actions and messages from other Automations won’t be copied.
💡If you want to copy the entire bot, please use our Bot Cloning feature.
- Delete: Send the automation to the Trash.

Automation channels
Automation channels are small icons that indicate which channels (e.g., Facebook, WhatsApp, etc.) the automation will use to send messages.
Here's what each icon means:
Green WhatsApp icon: Indicates that the automation includes WhatsApp messages that a contact will receive via WhatsApp messaging.
Dark pink Instagram icon: Represents messages that a contact will receive via Instagram Direct Message.
Blue Messenger icon: Signifies that the automation contains messages to be delivered via Facebook Messenger.
Green SMS icon: Indicates that SMS messages will be sent to the contact, provided they have submitted their phone number.
Light Blue Telegram Icon: Indicates that the automation includes messages to be sent via Telegram to contacts using this platform.
Growth Tools tab
You may have noticed that the Growth Tools tab that used to be on the left is now missing. We've discontinued the separate Growth Tools tab since it didn't display most of the newly available triggers, which now can all be viewed, created, and edited through the Automation tab. Just try the filter for triggers, and you can see all your triggers right in the connected automations.
