The Greeting Text is an essential feature that allows you to create a great first impression with your users. It is one of the first things people see when they click the Message button on your Facebook page.
Displayed right above the Get Started button in the chat window, it’s visible to everyone before they even start a conversation with your page. This makes it an excellent opportunity to provide a quick, engaging summary of your page’s specifics or your account’s functionality.
In this article, we’ll walk you through the simple steps to create your Greeting Text in Manychat.
How to set up the Greeting Text
- Open your Manychat workspace and click on the Settings button in the sidebar.
- Select Messenger from the list of channels.
- Find the Greetings Text section.
- Here you can type your Greeting Text in the form. You can add up to 160 characters and use emojis and variables.
- Once you are done, you can preview how the Greetings Text looks by clicking the See How It Looks button.
- Click Save to add the Greetings Text and make it live.
Can’t publish the Greeting Text?
If you’re unable to publish the Greeting Text, start by checking the error message.
If it says you don’t have the required permissions, ask a page Admin with full control to grant you access. Only admins with full permissions can publish the Greeting Text.
If you already have full admin access and still see the issue, try refreshing your permissions in Manychat via the Help button.
