Account fails to connect due to a constant connection loop or error message
If you're having trouble connecting your Instagram to Manychat, and your account fails to connect due to a constant connection loop or error message, there are a few requirements to check first.
1. Ensure you have a Professional Instagram account, either Creator or Business if your follower count is up to 500k or Business if it exceeds 500k. Here's a detailed guide for switching your account type.
2. Confirm that Manychat can access messages on Instagram. To do this, open your Professional account, go to Settings and activity → Messages and story replies → Message controls → Connected tools, and toggle Allow access to messages on.

⚠️ Note: If you initially chose to opt in only for your current pages, businesses, or accounts, and later want to add a new one to Manychat, you’ll need to edit previous settings to include the new entity.

Request Sent button appears when you click Connect
The Request Sent button appears when you attempt to link your Instagram account to Manychat, indicating it is already linked to another Manychat account.
If this Instagram account was previously linked to another Manychat account under a different profile you managed, please log into that profile to access the correct account where your Instagram is already connected.
If someone else, such as a former employee or an agency representative, previously connected this Instagram account, you need to contact them directly. They currently own the Manychat account to which this Instagram is linked and need to transfer ownership.
System repeatedly attempts to connect an already linked Instagram account
If you've already connected one of your Instagram accounts and see the following screen instead of the login prompt for the account you're trying to connect, make sure to first log out from the displayed Instagram account in the browser.
